The Team

The team that make up Great British Air Shows are all experts in their field. Drawn from a variety of highly relevent backgrounds, these people are second-to-none, and allow us to provide a seamless and smooth-running air-side event from concept to execution. We call upon experienced Flying Display Directors to fulfil that very particular and important role.

Nigel Willson

Display Pilot, Programme Organiser, Flying Control Committee

Experienced CAA Authorised Display Pilot. Flies multiple types of display aircraft, and hence is able to construct superb programmes for flying displays, getting the most out of your budget for your audience! Nigel is also a Flying Instructor and Examiner.

Matt Summers

Display Pilot, Flying Control Committee

Matthew is a current display pilot with a comprehensive background in aerobatics and experience in a variety of types both classic and modern. Flying Control Committee member.

John Swain

Public Address and Communications

John has been involved with Air Show Public Address systems for 25 years, from small intimate shows to full blown productions, The voice of International Air Racing for 20 years from the ground and the air, coupled with airshow commentary combines a wealth of experience in providing the best sound and presentation possible.

Dave Dunlop

Air Traffic Controller, Flying Control Committee

Current licensed civilian Air Traffic Controller and experienced Flying Control Committee member. A pilot himself, Dave has years of experience in both civilian and military procedures. He is a Unit Training Officer, and is both ATC Instructor and Examiner. Dave has a keen eye for safety and procedures.

Zoe Napier

Sales and Marketing

Zoe is a pilot with a flair for harnessing the creative, unique marketing opportunities not just for us, but for your event too. She has a wealth of experience in this area, and lives and breathes both marketing and aviation.

Carolyn Mason

Flying Control Committee, Air-Ground-Radio, Fire Cover

Carolyn is another pilot whose talents include communications, fire cover and first aid. A valuable team member able to undertake various roles including Flying Control Committee membership.

Dyane Denim

Air Traffic Controller, Flying Control Committee

Dyane is a licensed civilian Air Traffic Controller and experienced Flying Control Commitee member. She is also an ATC Instructor.

Ian Taylor

Emergency Planning

Ian is an experienced Event Safety specialist. He undertakes Risk Assessments, Emergency Planning and writes Event Management Plans for all sizes of events from International Air Shows to small gatherings. He holds the National Diploma in Spectator Safety Management.

Guy Eade

Qualified Air-Side Fire Fighter and Manager

Guys responsibilities include determination and provision of air-side fire cover for airshows managed by Great British Airshows. His remit also includes provision of stand-by medical cover, and air-ground communications facilities when required.
